On behalf of the 2011-12 Albany Chapter Executive Board, greetings and welcome to the internet home of the

Our next program is on February 3, 1 to 4:30 -

We invite you to browse the website, which is full of information about the Chapter, its members, and our activities.

Our Program Committee is arranging interesting and informative programs. Keep up to date on upcoming events by visiting the Events Page.

Check out our new Features Page, where we place particularly interesting articles or news. If you come across a helpful article or have info about any of our members let us know - job moves, promotions, marriage, new baby, etc. Photos welcome!  Send them to our webmaster, Pat Baugh at Patricia.Baugh@cs.state.ny.us

Save the Date!  The next Eastern Region Conference is just a few months away!  It will be held in Hyannis, Cape Cod, June 24 - 27, 2012.  Watch Conference News 2012 for updates.

Learn about the Executive Board, Chapter History, By-laws, Committees, Past Presidents, and more by visiting the About Us tab.

And, in case you were wondering, the benefits of Membership in the Albany-Capital Region Chapter of IPMA-HR are easy to identify - workshops and seminars that provide training on current HR issues and a chance to network with fellow New York State HR colleagues. If you have attended an IPMA-HR seminar or workshop in the past, you know that these programs provide a forum for gaining knowledge and competencies in many diverse areas, as well as affording members the opportunity to interact with their colleagues and network with other human resource practitioners from a variety of agencies across the State. In these trying fiscal times, the ability to “do more with less” is more important than ever, and gaining the requisite knowledge and skills to perform a variety of functions is critical to our continuing success in the challenging world of Human Resources.  If you would like to become a member, you can find the application form under the Membership tab.

Personally, I want to take the opportunity to extend a very big “Thank you” to all of our dedicated members – without you and your volunteer efforts, this organization would not be able to provide the type of quality programming that we do each and every year.  If anyone would like to volunteer, learn about our committees under the About Us tab and drop us an email.  The best way to get to know people is by working alongside them to produce something worthwhile.

Thank you for your time and I hope to see you at one of our events very soon!
