Marketing Strategy for IPMA-HR Eastern Region 2007 Conference

The 2007 Eastern region conference is using a winning combination of well-rounded, integrated attendee publicity campaign that includes direct mail, email promotions, website, and personal interaction.

Direct Mail Marketing

Save-the Date Postcard

Potential attendees will be sent a postcard reminding them of the upcoming conference and creating enthusiasm for the event.

Registration Information
This packet will be sent to all past and potential attendees, urging them to register early. It will contain highlights on keynote speakers and session descriptions.

Electronic Marketing

Emails

Working with the various IPMA-HR chapters in the Easter Region, emails will be sent to all prospective attendees. Having emails go from trusted sources such as the chapters will ensure that the message reach its targeted audience.

The site will be updated constantly to reflect the most up to date information on speakers, sessions and sponsors. Moreover, each chapter website in the Region will have a link to the conference website, thus increasing the number of site visits.

Other Promotion

Conference Committees
All major conference committees include members from the various chapters in the Region. These members make sure that the word gets out to their local chapters.

Conference Reception
A successful reception was held at the 2006 conference in Washington, D.C. promoting the 2007 conference. Participants were given a number of New York branded souvenirs to create anticipation for the event.

Poster
Posters advertising the conference will be sent to all chapters for distribution to agency human resources offices throughout the Eastern Region.
